Twitch Sings to Shut Down by January 2021

Karaoke Game Twitch Sings is all set to shut down by January 2021.

First launched in April 2019, Twitch Sings, the streaming platform’s Live Karaoke Game which allows streamers to chose any music from the library and could go solo or else duet with friends is turning to be closed soon by the end of this year. The company broadly said, “As we look to the future, we have decided to invest in broader tools and services that will help support and grow the entire music community on Twitch.”

Check out the Official Statement.

Among 3 million followers for the Twitch overall music category, it could hardly gather 161,000 followers for the Twitch Sign. Built by the Rock Band Harmonix, Twitch Sings not only failed to deliver the community but also failed to hold the user expectations. Over a period of time, Twitch Sings have eventually lost a majority of the users from all of their sources and is only left with a few hundred views. Though the official statement clearly states to close the platform and delete the traces within January 2021, the company is coming upfront with the release of an entire backlog of 400 new songs that would allow fans to step up the stage for the very last time.
